Today's ride included about 10kms through a spectacular wetland and bird sanctuary. We had the great pleasure of seeing flamingos! AMAZING!
Most of the time we spent in beautiful country with not a car or another person in sight! We rode across weirs, through forests and on fantastic bike paths.
A very enjoyable day but a little challenging with huge swarms of little mosquito like bugs all along the various paths. Thank god they didn't bite! Ride was also quite bumpy so our wrists (and bottoms) are feeling it!
Lee had her first fall trying to get around a gate, lost control and slid down a grassy bank. Bit of a scare and a couple minor scratches but she's all good now.
Very excited to arrive at the Hotel Centrale Byron and find a bathtub for a soak. Our thighs are feeling it too!
