The Captain's Log
The adventure is over! Here are some interesting bits...
We travelled 8,756kms, filled up the tank 11 times, had 3 dinners out, stayed in 3 motels, used a 100 tea bags, had 4 showers, camped at 10 different places, only stayed 1 place for 2 nights, swam in 2 pools, saw emu, kangaroo, cockatoo, fox, pig, feral cat, dingo, eagle, kite, took us 2 hours to wash the car and we named her Captain Captiva, just The Captain for short!
NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING!!!

Hi Lee and family!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this, I have enjoyed following along and seeing your great photos! It takes me back to when Mom and Dad went to Australia many moons ago (Dad got the tickets for his retirement present). They both talked a lot about Ayers Rock and Alice Springs. Flip and I hope to get down there before too many more years go by :) We just spent the weekend with a school friend of our daughter's who is now living in Scone. She and her husband are veterinarians and have two small children. Another reason to visit...
Cheers,
Cousin Anne
